Man Claims Diljit Dosanjh Fan Spent ₹41,000 on Concert Tickets: Calls for ‘Better Financial Decisions
The buzz for Diljit Dosanjh’s India tour was real-for sure-if presale tickets sold out in a jiffy. Diljit Dosanjh sold as many as 100,000 tickets for his much-talked-about Dil-Luminati Tour in a record 15 minutes. Dosanjh will make stops in 10 Indian cities between October and December.
Pre-bookings for the Dil-Luminati Tour started on Tuesday at 12 pm, and HDFC Pixel Credit Card holders could book them on pre-sale.
The cheapest “Silver” area tickets started initially at ₹1,499 but shot up to ₹1,999 in no time. Another set of tickets that got sold out within minutes of opening bookings was Gold area standing tickets, priced at ₹3,999. The premium set of tickets started from ₹9,999- Fan Pit Phase I and extended to ₹12,999 -Fan Pit Phase II.
Inspite of a complete sell out, fans have already begun reselling their tickets for exorbitant rates, with some listed as high as ₹ 21,000. Social media was filled with those who managed to get tickets and those who were disappointed upon not getting the tickets.
One user, Kanishk Khurana, incited controversy when he mentioned knowing a person who spent a whopping ₹41,265 on the concert tickets of Diljit. He questioned whether such a large sum was worth spending to watch a three-hour-long concert event.
The post generated a gamut of reactions. While some agreed with Khurana and said the money could have been put to better use, “It took a long time for me to realise that just saving and investing isn’t gonna make me happy. Spent on what gives you joy is important,” countered X user Siddharth Sharma.

Others just resorted to defending the expense on grounds of personal choice and liking. “If anyone has the money and wants to splurge on tickets, let them!”- @Vaibhav. Meanwhile, Amar had a contrary view, saying, “I am lower-middle class, and I personally can’t justify spending these amounts of money on concert tickets.
