Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal Chief Minister, fell and fainted Saturday after boarding a helicopter in Durgapur. According to the story, the chief minister was supported by her security officers. She continued on to Asansol, where she addressed an election rally. On March 14, the 69-year-old Trinamool Congress supremo collapsed inside her Kalighat bungalow in Kolkata, injuring her forehead and nose. She needed to be admitted to the hospital for a few hours.
Banerjee’s brother, Kartik Banerjee, informed a Bengali news channel that the TMC leader had a brain concussion and had a deep gash on her forehead and nose that was bleeding heavily. The hospital director, Manimoy Bandyopadhyay, first said that Banerjee experienced “a fall within the vicinity of her home due to some push from behind.” This statement prompted widespread uncertainty and conjecture about the cause of Mamata Banerjee’s downfall.
Bandyopadhyay later explained that he just meant that the CM may have felt “a sensation of push.” “This is the impression of being pushed from behind that led to CM Banerjee’s downfall. We must treat, and we have accomplished that. Bandyopadhyay stated that what he said yesterday evening was misinterpreted. At the time, top BJP politician Suvendu Adhikari sparked outrage by allegedly mocking Banerjee’s injuries.

Addressing a rally in Khejuri, West Bengal, Adhikari stated, without identifying anyone, that “TMC’s pressure has gone down and is falling.” The TMC’s decline has only just begun at the top; it will spread to the grassroots.” The ruling TMC condemned his statements, saying they represent the BJP’s anti-women ideology “Such statements against the country’s sole woman chief minister reflect the BJP’s anti-women ideology.” We condemn such remarks and demand an apology,” West Bengal Women and Child Development Minister Shashi Panja stated.
