Maharashtra Teacher Arrested for Molesting Six Students in Akola

In a very disconcerting occurrence, a 47-year-old government school teacher from Akola in Maharashtra was today arrested for allegedly molesting six female students. This happens in the wake of another shocker from Badlapur where two four-year-old girls were sexually abused by their teacher.

The accused, Pramod Manohar Sardar, a teacher at the Zilla Parishad School in Kazikhed, was detained after the students reported that he had been harassing them for four months by showing them obscene video clips. The complaint was registered at Ural police station and the investigation is on.

Police received a complaint of molestation of six school girls by Pramod Manohar Sardar. The accused was promptly arrested and the statements of the victims were recorded,” said SP Akola Bachchan Singh. The case has been registered under sections 74 and 75 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
