Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Ordered Killing of Baba Siddique or Son Zeeshan, Reveals Shooter Shiv Kumar

On Sunday, Shiv Kumar Gautam, one of the attackers who killed Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique on October 12, was taken into custody in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Gautam revealed startling information regarding the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s role in the well-known murder while being questioned by the Mumbai Police.

Gautam admitted that he was given the task of killing Baba Siddique or his son Zeeshan Siddique by Anmol Siddique, the brother of incarcerated mobster Lawrence Bishnoi. He was told to shoot the first target he came across. Gautam further disclosed that the group had intended to cross a porous border close to Bahraich and flee to Nepal, but their intentions were thwarted by his capture.

How Gautam Planned the Murder and Escape

Baba Siddique was the target of intensive monitoring by Shiv Kumar Gautam and his two accomplices in Mumbai. They took advantage of a packed celebration on October 12 to murder the NCP leader. At the scene of the murder, Gautam’s accomplices, Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh and Gurmail Singh from Haryana, were taken into custody.

Gautam altered his look to fit in with the population and evade detection after the assassination. He then went to Thane by car and local rail before continuing on to Pune. To avoid being found, he threw away his phone in Pune. After 21 days on the run, Gautam was apprehended in Bahraich after staying in Pune, Jhansi, and Lucknow, among other places.

Police Investigation and Arrests

For 21 days, Gautam was followed by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch, which also gathered intelligence and monitored his associates. This resulted in the arrest of four people who had helped Gautam escape and sheltered him: Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava, and Akhilesh Pratap Singh.

Anurag Kashyap utilized the Rs 2 lakh that had been transferred into his bank account before to the murder to buy Gautam some weapons, according to the police inquiry. On November 10, a trap was set to apprehend the suspects, which resulted in discovering additional conspiracy details.
