Lalbaugcha Raja’s 20 Kg Gold Crown Donated by Anant Ambani Dismantled Before Visarjan – Watch Now

On Wednesday morning, the revered Lalbaugcha Raja idol, which is iconic and adored by millions during Ganesh Chaturthi, was submerged in the Arabian Sea at Girgaon beach in Mumbai.

As the 11-day celebration concluded, thousands of worshippers assembled to get one last look at the cherished god. Anant Ambani, the son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, was one of those who bid farewell, marching in the grand procession that led to the immersion site.

On Tuesday night, a large number of devotees gathered to witness the start of the Lalbaugcha Raja procession as it moved towards Girgaon Chowpatty beach. Anant Ambani also stopped by the popular pandal on Tuesday evening to offer his regards.

The Ambani family, well-known for their lavish celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi, pays frequent visits to Lalbaugcha Raja. On Saturday night, Mukesh Ambani went to the pandal to make prayer offerings with his wife Radhika Merchant, son Anant, and Shloka Mehta.

Prior to the idol’s submersion on Wednesday morning, the large gold crown, gifted by Anant Ambani, was cautiously taken off. As per Lokmat Times, the crown given by Anant Ambani and the Reliance Foundation is valued at around ₹15 crore.

The Ambani family worshipped their own Ganesh statue, Antilia cha Raja, and celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in splendour at their opulent Antilia residence. The lavish celebration was hosted by Anil and Tina Ambani, among other Bollywood celebs, and was attended by family members.

The Ambanis conducted the immersion ritual in a span of two days, with Nita Ambani, who is the chairperson of Reliance Foundation, along with Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, riding on a truck decorated with flowers as they traveled from Antilia to Chowpatty Beach for the concluding visarjan.
