KL Rahul, the skipper of the Lucknow Super Giants, had a cake-licious birthday celebration

KL Rahul, the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants, turned 32 on Thursday, and his teammates gave him the customary cake smash. Instagram footage of the team’s captain’s birthday celebrations was posted by the team the day before they faced off against the Chennai Super Kings at Ekan Stadium.

At the team hotel, Rahul shared his birthday cake, with head coach Justin Langer receiving the first slice. After then, the LSG players started decorating Rahul’s face with cake icing, signalling the start of the celebration. Knowing there was no way out, the skipper removed his t-shirt in humility and let his boys cover him in cake.

KL Rahul scored 204 runs in six games this season, which is respectable. In their last matchup with the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Lucknow Super Giants gave away a loss.

The two-time winners easily won by eight wickets thanks to an undefeated 89-run performance from Phil Salt, the opener for the Kolkata Knight Riders, in the second innings.
