KKR Coach Unveils Shreyas Iyer’s New Twist Post BCCI Contract Axing: Injury Revelation and More

Knight Riders of Kolkata Knowing that Shreyas Iyer, the captain of his Indian Premier League side, was cut from the BCCI central contracts has shocked Chandrakant Pandit. Iyer and Ishan Kishan were removed from the roster for not following the board’s directive to play domestic cricket. The senior brass decided to pull the plug after Iyer and Ishan failed to show up for their state teams in the Ranji Trophy while they were abroad.

The selectors were irritated with Iyer because it seemed like he had staged an injury to avoid participating in the Ranji Trophy. Iyer claimed to have had a back spasm, but a physiotherapist at the NCA insisted that he was healthy. Once the news reached the public, however, chaos ensued. But Pandit, who believes Iyer will eventually re-emerge in Team India’s plans, gave the story a new turn by revealing that Iyer was hurt but was able to heal in due course.

Iyer seems to have faked an injury in order to pull out of the Ranji Trophy, which infuriated the selectors. Iyer stated that he experienced a back spasm, but the NCA’s physiotherapist maintained that he was well. But anarchy broke out as soon as the public learned of the situation. However, Pandit gave the story a new twist by stating that Iyer was injured but was able to recover over time. Pandit feels that Iyer will eventually reappear in Team India’s plans.

Pandit Backs Shreyas Iyer’s Resilience

Iyer’s close collaborator from the previous season, Pandit, believes the Indian batsman will bounce back from the loss. Pandit is certain that Iyer deserves a spot in one of the top brackets in India, considering his caliber; Shreyas was in the INR 3 crore bracket B. Pandit assures that this setback will only strengthen Iyer’s tremendous dedication and motivation to return even stronger.
