Khalistan Supporters in Canada Tell Canadians to ‘Go Back to England, Europe’ | Watch Video

In yet another heated instance, Khalistani sympathizers in Canada have moved the attention from India to Canadians themselves, calling them “invaders” and pushing them to “return to England and Europe.” A viral video of a recent ‘Nagar Kirtan’ procession captures the contentious words, with one speaker stating, “This is Canada, our own country.” “You [Canadians] go back.”

According to Indian intelligence sources, this incident represents the “new normal” in Canada, implying that Khalistani groups are gaining unfettered power in a variety of industries. “Without adequate surveillance, these groups are not only pressuring Hindus for ‘protection’ fees but also creating an atmosphere of intimidation for locals,” a source acquainted with the situation noted.

Diplomatic relations between India and Canada have been strained since Hardeep Singh Nijjar died in 2023. Najjar, a pro-Khalistan figure, was designated a terrorist by India. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s suspicions that Indian agents were involved in Nijjar’s assassination prompted both countries to dismiss top ambassadors. India criticized Trudeau’s assertions as “preposterous,” citing the Canadian government’s tolerance for Khalistani groups that had allegedly attacked Hindu communities in Canada.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently decried the escalating threats to Hindu pilgrims, describing attacks on temples in Canada as “deliberate and dangerous.”

According to intelligence assessments, Trudeau’s support for Khalistani sympathizers could be a tactic to keep MP Jagmeet Singh’s support in the 2024 elections. Trudeau’s popularity has plummeted, and he recently conceded that his claims against India were based on intelligence rather than “concrete evidence.” This position has sparked condemnation from Indian intelligence, with officials stating that “Trudeau’s accusations lack responsibility, damaging both diplomatic relations and his own reputation.”

Intelligence sources also questioned Trudeau’s credibility, calling his approach “childish” and accusing him of “playing into the hands of ISI and Khalistani interests.” They requested Trudeau to name the MPs who told him of India’s suspected participation, adding that “such baseless accusations undermine a leader’s credibility and disrupt bilateral harmony.”
