‘Kattar Beimaan’: PM Modi Criticizes AAP, Calls Delhi’s Governance an ‘AAPada’

PM Modi unleashed a harsh attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday, claiming that it has been driving the nation’s capital into “disaster” during the last ten years in the run-up to the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. Speaking to a crowd at Ramlila Ground in Ashok Vihar, the prime minister said that the AAP had mismanaged Delhi.

Delhi’s progress was hindered by “few ‘kattar beimaan’ (bigoted dishonest) people,” Modi said in a subtle shot at AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, alluding to the party’s inability to deliver. He recalled how the AAP had caused the city to into a crisis despite its earlier claims of prosperity. “This AAP, this ‘aapda’ (disaster), has arrived in Delhi, and the people are determined to free the capital from it,” he said.

The PM also criticized the corrupt practices of the AAP-led administration. He went on to criticize the party’s government, saying, “They first engage in theft and then shamelessly glorify it.” “I could have built a palace for myself, but I chose to uplift the underprivileged,” Modi challenged his detractors, emphasizing his sacrifice by pointing out that he had never built a home for himself and had instead built over 4 crore homes for the country’s impoverished.

Modi also berated the AAP for not doing enough to clean up the Yamuna River. They claim that cleaning Yamuna won’t help them get votes. What sort of ‘aapda’ is this? His question, which reflected the party’s disregard for important environmental issues, was, “Will they abandon it if it doesn’t benefit them?” According to him, the Delhi government is complicit in the exploitation of locals by the “tanker mafia.”

PM Modi pledged that his organization has incorporated various suggestions from regional lawmakers to address Delhi’s traffic. He said, “The year 2025 will stamp another period of good administration in Delhi, a period for another political culture zeroed in on open and public government assistance,” trying to support the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) fame before the following decisions.

The importance of India’s cities to the nation’s growth and development was reaffirmed by the prime minister. “The dream of a Viksit Bharat cannot be realized without cities. With millions of people moving to the cities in search of a better living, they are at the center of the country’s development. He declared, “The BJP government at the center is dedicated to making sure that every family has a higher standard of living.”

PM Modi opened 1,675 brand-new apartments for slum residents in Delhi’s JJ clusters earlier in the day. In a major move to improve the living circumstances of the underprivileged groups in the city, he also gave beneficiaries at Ashok Vihar’s Swabhiman Apartments their house keys. Modi’s remarks are a forceful appeal for change as the Delhi Assembly elections draw near, imploring voters to overthrow the “disaster” and install the BJP in order to improve government.
