The High Court sends legal notice to Kareena Kapoor

The notice was sent in response to counsel Christopher Anthony’s request to file a lawsuit against Kareena and the book’s dealers by a single-judge bench of Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The actor-writer has been asked by the court to explain why she used the phrase “Bible” in her biography. The publishers have also received letters from the court after the petitioner’s demand for an injunction against the book’s sales.

Petitioner alleges Kareena’s book hurts religious sentiments

Published in 2021, the book followed Kareena throughout her pregnancy and provided suggestions and counsel for new mothers. After the police declined to make a formal charge against the star, the petitioner went to the lower court to complain Kareena. Additionally, the lower court denied his petition because he was unable to provide evidence of how the title’s usage of the term “Bible” offended him. His complaint was likewise rejected by the Additional Sessions Court.
