Kapil Sharma Returns with Season 2 of “The Great Indian Kapil Show” on Netflix; Sunil Grover Reunites with Kapil

Kapil Sharma is all set to make a comeback with the much-awaited second season of his Netflix show, “The Great Indian Kapil Show” (TGIKS). The comedian recently took to Instagram and posted a teaser of the new season, announcing quite literally, “Ab Shanivaar Hoga ‘Funnyvaar’ cuz Kapil and gang are coming with double fun and hassi iss baar. Season 2 coming soon! Stay tuned.”.

The biggest scoop is the return of Sunil Grover to the show. He will be reunited with Kapil Sharma again. Secondly, Grover reunites with Kapil after an infamous fallout six years ago. Fans can look forward to seeing Grover reprise his hilarious roles alongside Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, and Archana Puran Singh.

Sunil Grover, famous for his enigmatic characters Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati, had a fall out with Kapil Sharma in 2018 when the two got embroiled in a war of words. The two subsequently calmed down and made peace with each other earlier this year after Kapil announced his Netflix show.

Importantly, Sumona Chakravarti is missing from the TGIKS Season 2 teaser. Reports were rife earlier this year that when Sumona was in Romania for “Khatron Ke Khiladi 14,” she had not been told about Kapil’s new show, feeling disheartened at being left out of it. However, later, the clarification issued by Sumona in an interview says there is no bad blood between her and Kapil Sharma; the show is over and she has moved on to other stuff.

Fans are looking with bated breath towards the second season of “The Great Indian Kapil Show” that is going to bring double the fun and laughter with Kapil and his gang.
