Finally, the most anticipated trailer for Siva’s action-drama Kanguva, featuring powerhouse performances by Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani, has been out. Just released on Monday, it gives a tantalizing glimpse of the storyline of the film but carefully conceals the key details that have got the fans waiting.

Suriya, replying to a post by X (formerly Twitter), shared the trailer and wished director Siva on his birthday. “Incredibly proud of all that we have done together as a team,” his tweet read. “Thank you, have a very very happy birthday dearest Siva!! Here’s our #KanguvaTrailer for you dear all!” The 2 minutes-37 seconds long trailer opens with an air of mystery as an old woman talks about the numerous mysteries awaiting you across your isle, suggesting an intricate storyline. Then, the spotlight shifts to the film’s leads, Suriya and Bobby Deol, who are seen playing contrasting characters as powerful tribal heads and fiercer warriors.

The trailer hints at an inevitable showdown between their characters, aligning with the film’s title Kanguva, which in Tamil literally means “fire”.

Interestingly, there are some really significant elements of the film left out from the trailer which were hinted at in the promotional material before. A poster shared by Suriya a while ago showed him in two looks: one as a tribal warrior and a modern look. Even so, this part of the movie storyline is kept in anticipation, which makes it only more longed-for.

“Kanguva,” which is produced by Studio Green’s Gnanavel Raja and UV Creations’ V Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati, marks the Tamil debut for both Disha Patani and Bobby Deol.
