Kangana Ranaut Jokes Her ‘Future In-Laws’ Fled During Police Summons

Recently, Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut shared her experiences and challenges with a romantic relationship in the latest episode of Aap Ki Adalat.

In a hilarious mood, the Bollywood actress and BJP MP shared an incident that her prospective in-laws ran away from her house after seeing her being summoned by police. Later, she made a disclaimer, “I am just joking.”

Talking about her marriage plans, Kangana said she seeks companionship and a family. “My views on marriage are very positive. I believe everybody needs a companion and children. But the way my character has been maligned has carried a dent in my marital prospects,” she said.

Kangana further spoke about the numerous legal cases she went through, including criminal ones involving alleged defamation and social media posts.

She said, “Each time I begin to get intimate with someone, the legal summons or police interventions get in the way. Once, my future in-laws even ran away when they saw the police coming.

Well, that is another side effect of my case.” Later, she would make sure to point out she had qualified this by continuing: “No, I am just joking.”

On the professional front, Kangana’s next film Emergency, which she is also directing, has been delayed. The film, whose release had been earlier slated for September 6, has been delayed following protests staged by Sikh groups over its content and pending approval from the CBFC.

In Emergency, Kangana plays late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, backed by Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik. The film brought out the events about the Emergency period in India during 1975.
