Kangana Ranaut Announces New Film ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata’ Amid ‘Emergency’ Release Delay

On Tuesday, actor Kangana Ranaut announced her new film titled “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” as she awaits in the queue for certification for her directorial venture “Emergency” from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The film, as presented by the makers, would trace the invaluable contributions of those unsung working-class heroes working behind the scenes.

Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata” will be produced by Eunoia Films and Floating Rocks Entertainment and written-directed by Manoj Tapadia. Ranaut revealed this via an X post.

“Magic of real-life heroism unfolds on the big screen! Delighted to announce Bharat Bhhagya Viddhata, a cinematic ode to the unsung heroes with the talented producer duo Babita Ashiwal & Adi Sharmaa, and the visionary director-writer Manoj Tapadia.

For Babita Ashiwal of Eunoia Films, working on “Bharat Bhhagya Viddhata” has been a highly enriching experience.

“Our aim is to weave magic with our content. With Kangana aboard, we are pretty sure the movie will strike a chord with the audience,” Ashiwal said in a statement.

“Our association on this film with Kangana is about creating content that crosses boundaries and touches hearts at an intrinsic level. High-content films are indeed the way ahead to ensure a blockbuster success,” added Floating Rocks Entertainment’s Adi Sharmaa.

Whereas “Emergency” – directed, written and co-scripted by Ranaut – BJP Lok Sabha member from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh is yet to receive clearance from the CBFC. The film was scheduled to hit the theatres on September 6 after its release dates were changed umpteen times.

The film, in which Ranaut plays the role of former prime minister Indira Gandhi, has been facing backlash from certain Sikh religious bodies on the belief that the film will “incite communal tensions” and “spread misinformation”.
