Kangana Ranaut Allegedly Slapped by CISF Personnel at Chandigarh Airport
According to sources, Kangana Ranaut, an actor who later entered politics, was slapped on Thursday at the Chandigarh airport by a female member of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The actor-politician who had refused to place her phone in the tray during the security check reportedly got a slap on the face from the Mandi MP-elect for shoving the guards. At 3 p.m., Kangana Ranaut took a Vistara flight to Delhi.
Ranaut was attacked a few days after winning the Lok Sabha seat from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The Election Commission website states that the National Award-winning actor defeated Congress opponent Vikramaditya Singh by 74,755 votes. In her first Lok Sabha election as a political leader, Ranaut garnered 5,37,022 votes. Ten contenders vied for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, which has 13,77,173 registered voters. There were 73.15 percent of voters.
“Deep thanks to everyone in Mandi for your love and trust… This triumph is shared by all of you; it is the result of your faith in Prime Minister Modi and the BJP; it is the triumph of Sanatan and the dignity of Mandi,” she had said on social media before to the announcement of her win.
“Mandi ki sansad,” Ranaut had written as the caption for her X post.
Ranaut made her acting debut in the 2006 Anurag Basu film “Gangster” at the age of 17. She went on to get praise for her roles in the films Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Manikarnika, Fashion, and Pangaa, among others.

In addition to publicly endorsing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ranaut has supported his administration on a number of topics, including the Citizenship (Amendment) Act of 2019–20 and farmer protests. Ranaut was also granted entry to the great consecration ceremony of the idol of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
