Jr NTR Reveals He ‘Prayed’ for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to Name Their Daughter Raha

Jr. NTR and Alia Bhatt have a unique friendship that transcends their on-screen partnership in SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated 2022 film RRR. Alia recently discussed a personal recollection involving Jr. NTR and her husband Ranbir Kapoor with Jr. NTR and director Karan Johar. She disclosed that it was at Jr. NTR’s Hyderabad residence that she and Ranbir first discussed potential baby names for their impending child.

Alia on Her Bond with Jr NTR

Alia remembered with fondness how their relationship strengthened when Jr. NTR generously showed up for the Brahmastra press conference in Hyderabad. She was expecting her daughter Raha at the moment. “Yes, we’ll carry out the event, but first you have to come to my house for dinner,” Taarak stated. We spent a lovely evening chatting away on his terrace,” she remarked. In front of everyone that evening, Ranbir and Alia even talked about possible baby names. “If it’s a girl, this will be her name, and if it’s a boy, this will be his name,” said Ranbir, according to Alia. “I started praying for it to be Raha, and finally, there she is,” Jr. NTR smiled and added.

How Parenthood Has Changed Them

Both actors discussed how becoming parents has influenced them during the conversation. Following the birth of his son Abhay, Jr. NTR revealed that he started looking for creatively meaningful jobs, ventures that would make up for the time he spent away from his family. In a similar vein, Alia said that becoming a mother had drastically altered her. She clarified that although actors frequently develop a self-obsession, her priorities changed when she had Raha and gave her whole attention to raising her daughter. Alia said that her forthcoming movie Jigra, which is about a fiercely protective sister, struck a strong chord with her newly discovered sense of maternal duty.
