IPL 2024: Navjot Singh Sidhu Returns to Commentary, Fans Excited for His Comeback
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will include commentary by Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is returning to the role. The season opener between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 23.

Sidhu was embroiled in a controversy while he was away from commentary after he was fired from The Kapil Sharma Show in 2019.
Sidhu began his career as a commentator in 2001 while India was touring Sri Lanka. Sidhu, who was well-known for his colorful and unique flair, rose to fame fast for his clever one-liners. He became a popular character among cricket fans and pundits due to his distinct blend of comedy and cricket knowledge.

During his playing career, Sidhu was one of India’s most fashionable cricket players. His 15-year career spans the years 1983 until 1998. Sidhu amassed 3202 and 4413 runs in 51 Tests and 136 ODIs, respectively, with 15 centuries and 48 half-centuries.
