IPL 2024: Mumbai Indians Players Gather in Alibaug for Team Bonding Exercise, Rohit Sharma Absent from Arrival Videos
As part of a team-building activity, Mumbai Indians players spent some quality time together before to the 2024 Indian Premier League 2024 season. The cricket players arrived in Alibaug on Tuesday, accompanied by support personnel. They will stay there for a few days before flying back to Mumbai to play their season’s opening game against the Gujarat Titans, the 2022 champions.
Although nearly every member of the MI camp boarded the ferry to Alibaug, former captain Rohit Sharma’s name was absent from the list. In footage sent to Hindustan Times by special agreement, Rohit was nowhere to be seen when his colleagues checked into the hotel and didn’t even appear when the rest of them got off the ferry at the port.
The videos suggest that Rohit might not have travelled with the team, even though he might have been there. One of the videos shows the ferry leaving the Mumbai harbor, with the famous Gateway of India in the background. Rohit doesn’t appear to be there. Jasprit Bumrah was another prominent player missing from the group; however, it’s possible that he hasn’t yet reunited with the team after the demanding Test series against England.
Notable individuals in attendance included captain Hardik Pandya, batsman Ishan Kishan, big-hitter Tim David of Australia, West Indian quick Romario Shepherd, Arjun Tendulkar, and Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan. Coach Lasith Malinga, batting coach Kieron Pollard, and bowling coach Mark Boucher accompanied Hardik and his team. The gamers rested, unwinded, and played paintball after they got there.
