Indian Residents in Bangladesh Advised to Avoid Travel Amid Anti-Quota Protests
Amid a widespread walkout over the government’s job quota system, Indian nationals living in Bangladesh have been advised to stay indoors and limit their travel.
“The Indian community members and students residing in Bangladesh are advised to avoid travel and minimize their movement outside their living premises, given the current situation in Bangladesh,” the Indian High Commission in Dhaka stated in a warning.
The Indian community residing in Bangladesh was advised to contact the High Commission and the Assistant High Commissions at the 24-hour emergency lines in case of any emergency or need for help.
