Kerala Woman Among 17-Member Indian Crew on Seized Ship Returns Home

The Ministry of external affairs announced on Thursday that one of the 17 Indian crew members on a cargo ship with ties to Israel that Iran had captured has returned home. The woman was among them. According to a statement from the ministry, Antessa Joseph, an Indian deck cadet from Thrissur, touched down at the Cochin International Airport without incident on Thursday afternoon.

The Indian Mission in Tehran is still investigating the situation and maintaining contact with the 16 Indian crew members who are still on board the container ship. It stated that the crew members are in good health and stay in touch with their relatives back in India.
