Indian Fast Bowler Mukesh Kumar Released from Squad Hours Before India vs England 3rd Test: Find Out Why”

Mukesh Kumar, a fast bowler, was cut from the Indian team before the third Test match between India and England at the Niranjan Shah Stadium (formerly the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot). Mohammed Siraj entered the Indian XI for the crucial Test match that began on Thursday in lieu of Mukesh, who struggled mightily in the second Test match in Visakhapatnam, taking just one wicket and bowling the fewest overs of any Indian bowler. Siraj has rejoined the team for the remaining three Test matches in this series after being rested in the last Test.

Before Bengaluru’s Ranji Trophy Elite Group B encounter against Bihar at Eden Gardens on Friday, Mukesh has taken a plane to Kolkata to acclimatise himself and the team. The bowler with the right arm will return to the Indian team prior to the fourth Test in Ranchi. “Mukesh Kumar has been left out of the India team for Rajkot’s third Test matchup with England. Before joining Team India in Ranchi, he will play for his Ranji Trophy team, Bengal, in their upcoming match, the BCCI said in an official release.

Mukesh will probably be more involved towards the end of the series as pace sensation Jaspirt Bumrah of India is anticipated to take a break after the fourth Test to oversee his workload. Captain Rohit Sharma of India chose to bat after winning the toss. This is Ben Stokes’ 100th Test match as captain of England, as the series heads toward a one-all draw. India gave debuts to middle-order batsman Sarfaraz Khan, a prolific scorer for Mumbai in domestic cricket, and young wicketkeeper-battler Dhruv Jurel, who will replace KS Bharat in the playing eleven.
