I’m a Law-Abiding Citizen, Will Cooperate”: Allu Arjun’s First Statement After Jail Release in Pushpa 2 Stampede Case
After being released from jail after being imprisoned to a fan’s death during the Pushpa 2: The Rule film launch, Allu Arjun spoke to the media. The actor said, “I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate,” while speaking outside the jail. Once more, I want to offer the family my sympathies. It was a regrettable situation.
Arrest and Bail Details
The well-known actor was taken into custody Friday afternoon from his home in Banjara Hills following a terrible event during the December 4 Pushpa 2 launch in Hyderabad. A frenzy that broke out when Allu Arjun and his co-star Rashmika Mandanna arrived at the Sandhya Theatre caused chaos. While her small boy was seriously hurt and is still in the hospital, 35-year-old Revathi died as a result of the turmoil. One of the defendants, Allu Arjun, was named when the deceased’s spouse filed a formal complaint.
The Telangana High Court later granted the actor four weeks of interim release after a lower court had imposed 14 days of judicial imprisonment. Despite this, the actor was held for an extra night in jail because the bail order was not processed promptly, which his attorney has called “illegal detention.”

Political Repercussions
In Telangana, the event has sparked a contentious political discussion. Allu Arjun’s treatment by the ruling Congress was questioned by the BJP and BRS, who also questioned the high-profile arrest. Mahesh Kumar Goud, president of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), said that everyone is treated equally by the law and that it must be applied regardless of a person’s status.
