Hardik Pandya Makes Comeback; Dinesh Karthik Opts Out of Commentary for IPL Prep

In today’s DY Patil T20 event, Hardik Pandya will return to competitive cricket. When Reliance kicks off its campaign against Bharat Petroleum, the captain of the Mumbai Indians will be present. The star all-rounder for India, who has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury in the 2023 World Cup group stage encounter against Bangladesh in Pune, will be in charge of the Reliance team, which also includes Tilak Verma, Nehal Wadhera, and Piyush Chawla.

The National Cricket Academy (NCA) placed Hardik on a high-performance program with an eye toward the long-term objective and crucial white-ball assignments, as CricketNext has previously reported. After spending significant time honing his physical condition, the 30-year-old will take the field for the first time in almost four months.

The fact that Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan was left off of Reliance’s playing XI today is another notable development. It is assumed that Kishan would likely represent the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the competition. Top players from the nation will compete in the competition, which ends on March 9, since most IPL players use it as a chance to start getting ready for the Indian Premier League. The Ranji Trophy group stage is already finished.

DINESH KARTHIK TO TAKE BREAK FROM COMMENTARY

The fifth India-England Test, which begins on March 7 in Dharamsala, will not feature Dinesh Karthik as the commentator because the wicketkeeper-batter will be representing DY Patil B in the Twenty20 competition.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stumper also participated in the last event, amassing 138 runs at a respectable strike rate of 168.29 in 4 innings. In the championship match, Karthik’s team was involved and ultimately fell to Reliance 1 in a thrilling last-over match. Top players will compete in 16 teams arranged into four groups of four for all matches, which will be held at DY Patil Stadium and DY Patil University Ground.
