Gayle’s Unforgettable Knock
Gayle played one of the best T20 innings ever in 2013 at Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium. When Gayle scored an unbeaten 175 from 66 balls against Pune Warriors India (PWI), he set a record that still stands today – and fans watching will never forget it.
His opening partnership with Tillakaratne Dilshan came after PWI captain Aaron Finch won the toss and chose to field first; but once play began, there was only one team in this match as RCB’s big left-hander dominated proceedings from start to finish!
The Record-Breaking Innings
Gayle scored 50 runs in 17 balls and then completed his century in the next 13 deliveries. He scored an additional 75 runs from 36 balls, finishing with 13 boundaries and 17 maximums.
