GT vs SRH IPL 2024: Gary Kirsten’s Candid Assessment of Shubman Gill’s Captaincy Ahead of Hyderabad Clash
Gary Kirtsen, the batting coach and mentor of the Gujarat squad, has supported Shubman Gill as the team’s captain despite their unpredictable start to the IPL 2024 season. Kirsten accentuated her esteem for Gill’s administration style and her confidence in his ability to get the strategic nuances of the game. Chennai crushed the IPL 2022 bosses by a score of 63 runs. On Sunday, March 31, GT will have the Hyderabad group at the Narendra Modi Stadium, their home field.
Gill succeeded Hardik Pandya as captain prior to the 17th IPL season. This season, the 24-year-old made history by becoming the youngest captain in the lucrative league. Kirsten and Ashish Nehra, the head coach, and the rest of the team management expressed great faith in Gill’s abilities to guide the GT franchise.
In their most recent IPL match, GT lost to CSK by a score of 63 runs. GT’s net run rate dropped to -1.425 after the loss to CSK. Gill, the captain of GT, has had difficulty meeting expectations as a premier hitter. The GT captain, who has scored 31 and 8 in the opening two games of the new season, will rally his team at home.
Kirsten’s View on Gill’s Captaincy and Heinrich Klaasen’s Impact for SRH in IPL
Kirsten also remarked that Gill is demonstrating good leadership traits and that he will pick up new skills along the way. “I believe he has adapted to being a captain rather well. He’s demonstrated some outstanding leadership traits. He is an intelligent man. As a new captain, he has a lot to learn, particularly about T20 cricket. Thus, he’ll pick up knowledge as he goes,” Kirsten remarked.
