According to reports, Shah Rukh Khan gave Gautam Gambhir a blank check to sign with KKR

After two fruitful years with the Lucknow Super Monsters, Gautam Gambhir made his long-awaited return to the Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL 2024. Under his authority, KKR won the championship in 2012 and 2014 but cleared out the establishment in 2017 to connect Delhi Capitals.

After his retirement, he made his way into coaching and has played an essential part in helping LSG qualify for the playoffs in 2022 and 2023. Meanwhile, after qualifying for the finals in 2021, KKR has fizzled to make it to the playoffs in two consecutive years.

To change things up, KKR co-owner and Bollywood on-screen character Shah Rukh Khan chose to bring back Gambhir, under whose administration the establishment had colossal success. As per reports, Khan advertised a clear check to the previous cricketer, but it’s not detailed if he acknowledged that. The 42-year-old joined KKR besides, and in his beginning discourse, it was made clear that KKR would once again battle for the title.
