Esha Gupta Breaks Silence on Hardik Pandya Dating Rumours: “We Spoke for a Few Months”
Actress Esha Gupta has responded to the long-running claims that she is dating cricketer Hardik Pandya after years of conjecture. The Raaz 3 star said in an open interview with Siddharth Kannan that although they had been conversing for some time, their relationship never developed into a committed one.
Yes, we did converse for a while. We were in that “maybe, maybe not” stage, so I wouldn’t describe it as dating,” Esha said. Before anything truly started, it came to an end. We just had a couple of encounters. Before it could become a reality, it simply died away.
“It Just Wasn’t Meant to Be”
Esha acknowledged that there might have been a chance for something more profound at one point, but the conditions weren’t right. “There was no drama or animosity. It just wasn’t meant to be,” she stated, adding that the relationship didn’t work out because of both compatibility and timing.
On Hardik Pandya’s Koffee With Karan Controversy
The topic surrounding Hardik Pandya’s notorious 2019 performance on Koffee With Karan, which drew harsh condemnation for its misogynistic statements, was also discussed.
Esha said that she felt unaffected because she had lost contact with Pandya by the time the program aired. “That phase didn’t affect me at all because we had already stopped talking,” she explained.
Esha claimed she purposefully decided not to magnify the criticism, even though she was one of those who criticised the tone of the show. “They were dealing with enough already. There was no reason for me to add to it. Emotionally, I’ve grown up and don’t want to brood over the past.
Why Things Didn’t Work Out
Esha explained that she prefers grounded, intimate relationships, which might not have fit Pandya’s highly visible, public lifestyle, when asked why their relationship didn’t work out. She then on, “I like something more genuine, out of the spotlight.”

Esha most recently starred with Bobby Deol in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 and in One Day: Justice Delivered as DCP Laxmi Rathi. Although an official confirmation is still pending, rumours are circulating regarding her potential involvement in the highly anticipated Hera Pheri 3.
