Enforcement Directorate Summons Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot in Liquor Policy Case: Report

The Enforcement Directorate has called Delhi minister and AAP leader Kailash Gahlot for questioning about a money-laundering investigation related to the liquor policy issue, following the arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a few days ago. This is the first time he has been called upon. According to reports, Kailash Gahlot has been invited to appear before the agency today.

49-year-old The AAP MLA for Najafgarh in Delhi is Kailash Gehlot. He serves as the law, home, and transportation minister for the government of Delhi. It has been reported by sources that Kailash Gahlot has been summoned to the case to provide answers and have his statement recorded by the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Three well-known AAP leaders—Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Arvind Kejriwal—are currently in jail on comparable accusations. Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi, and Kailash Gahlot are the only well-known AAP figures who are not in prison.

Shortly after the Delhi High Court declined to shield Kejriwal from arrest due to the excise policy, the ED detained him on March 21. After he disregarded nine summonses from the Enforcement Directorate, he was taken into custody.
