Enforcement Directorate Questions Kejriwal’s Assistant, Summons AAP Leader Durgesh Pathak in Liquor Policy Case
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is currently interviewing Bibhav Kumar, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal assistant (PA), in the most recent development in the excise policy case in Delhi. Kejriwal was detained on March 21 after being referred to by the central agency as the “kingpin” of the purported scam on several occasions.
Additionally, MLA Durgesh Pathak of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has received a summons from the ED requesting that he attend on Monday. Days after Delhi Minister Atishi threatened to have four other party leaders arrested in relation to the alleged “scam,” the agency has now summoned Pathak.
The other leaders are Atishi, Pathak, and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, who is currently receiving eye treatment in the UK. That allegation came after ED claimed that the AAP national convenor had “named” both Bharadwaj and her during a court hearing subsequent to Kejriwal’s arrest. The Delhi Chief Minister is detained by the courts until April 15.

ED needs some clarifications from Bibhav.
An anonymous official stated that the former’s name was included in a few comments concerning cash payments made during the Goa assembly elections in February 2022. In the coastal state, the AAP garners a 6.8% vote share and two of the forty assembly seats. The head of the Goa unit, Amit Palekar, who ran as the CM candidate, refuted claims of “wrongdoing” and said he and other local unit officials were prepared to answer any investigation. The aforementioned official added, “Pathak is expected to appear at ED headquarters in the afternoon.”
