Elon Musk’s X Faces Global Outage: Millions Unable to Post or Check News
Thousands of users Wednesday were locked out of their feeds when X, formerly Twitter, went down in a massive outage. As complaints kept pouring in, people from India and the US, among other parts of the world, reported problems on Downdetector. The number of worldwide complaints reached over 28,000 by 8:47 a.m IST.
Meanwhile, we tested X on both web and the mobile app and found no problems accessing our account. It seems, though, that the impact of the outage on users is higher for other regions than this. Despite that, some users still managed to post on X, although they could not see their feeds.
This outage comes after a series of outages since Musk took ownership of the company, which, however, have nothing of the much bigger outage that occurred last December.

Users have flocked to alternative platforms like Facebook and Reddit to confirm the outage and share experiences. With X not yet announcing any of the causes of the problem, this makes people remember their experiences with other social media sites, considering they cannot post their status on X with the downtime.
