Elon Musk has launched an all-out assault against American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift following her endorsement of Kamala Harris after the US Vice President’s ‘stellar’ performance in the presidential debate against Donald Trump.
Swift, one of the biggest names in music, took to Instagram to declare she would vote for Harris and her VP candidate JD Vance.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader, and I believe we can achieve much more in this country with calm leadership rather than chaos,” Swift wrote, sharing a link to a voter registration site.
Her endorsement-which features a picture of her snuggling her cat Benjamin Button-has racked up over 4 million likes. The caption “Childless Cat Lady” was referencing JD Vance’s sexist 2021 remarks about childless women.
After Trump used AI-generated images of Swift as if she was an endorser of Trump, the pop star decided to endorse Harris.
The longtime Trump supporter, Musk, responded to Swift’s endorsement with the weirdest tweet, saying: “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”
The tweeted message went viral in no time, with over 1.3 million views, creating a lot of confusion and shock on social media as some users asked whether Musk was offering to have a child with Swift.
Swifties went on to call the comments from Musk “creepy” and “weird,” saying Swift wants nothing to do with him. In the Instagram post, Swift said it was Trump’s posts that drove her to want to be open about her plan to vote.
She spoke to Vogue for its September issue; she also expressed how her decision came because of a deep amount of research.

Meanwhile, the Trump campaign lashed out, suggesting Swift’s endorsement was proof that the Democratic Party had officially become a “party of the wealthy elites.” Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt declared that there are many “Swifties for Trump” across America.
