EC Acts on Alleged Poll Code Violations by PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi: Updates

Congressman Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were accused of breaking the model code of conduct, which was accepted by the Election Commission on Thursday. The Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party have been ordered by the electoral commission to reply by April 29.

The Election Commission stated in a letter to BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda that the highly visible candidates are supposed to support a “better quality of discourse, inter alia, by way of providing an all-India perspective, which sometimes gets distorted in the heat of the contests at the local level [and] other ways.”

The EC gave Nadda instructions to let all of his party’s top campaigners know what kind of political speech was required of them. It requested that the BJP leader address the grievances brought out by the Congress, CPI, and CPI (ML) by 11 a.m. on April 29.

The EC was contacted by the Congress and two other opposition parties in objection to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement made in Banswara, Rajasthan. The prime minister had declared at a gathering, “The Congress manifesto states that they will distribute the property after calculating the gold with mothers and sisters.

The government of Manmohan Singh stated that Muslims had the first claim to the nation’s resources, so they would distribute them to whomever.”” The administration of their country (the Congress) has already said that Muslims have the primary claim to the country’s resources.

Put differently, to whom will this property be awarded? It will go to the ones who have the most kids. It is going to be given to the spies. Should the infiltrators receive your hard-earned money? Do you think this is okay? Modi stated.

The Election Commission instructed Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the Congress, in a letter to deliver the same message to the leading campaigners of the traditional party regarding the caliber of dialogue that is anticipated from them.

A copy of the BJP’s complaint against Gandhi was also included. The BJP cited passages from Gandhi’s claimed address in Kottayam, Kerala, where he supposedly stated, “A daughter’s parents congratulate her in Malayalam if she graduates from a university.” A brother speaks Malayalam when the other brother passes away.

Kerala is thus Malayalam, and Malayalam is Kerala.” In his speeches, the prime minister frequently refers to “one nation, one language, and one religion.” How can you advise Keralans to stop speaking Malayalam and Tamil speakers to stop speaking Tamil?” He supposedly stated.
