“Khichdi Scam”: ED Sends New Summons to Shiv Sena (UBT) Legislative Standing Candidate for Interrogation

The Enforcement Directorate has issued new summons to Shiv Sena (UBT) Lok Sabha candidate Amol Kirtikar for addressing a cash washing case connected to affirmed abnormalities in the conveyance of ’khichdi’ to transients amid the COVID-19 period, official sources said Friday. Kirtikar has been asked to remove the government organization here on April 8.

He was to begin by inquiring to show up on Walk 27, the day his party reported his title for challenging the surveys from the Mumbai North-West seat. His lawful group had looked for postponement of the summons the final time, citing his official engagements.

Amol Kirtikar’s father and senior lawmaker, Gajanan Kirtikar, is present with the Eknath Shinde (Maharashtra chief serve) group of the Shiv Sena and the officeholder MP from the said seat. The office, according to sources, needs to address Amol Kirtikar to certain monetary exchanges that were put in the affirmed ’khichdi’ scam.

The ED, early this year, had captured Suraj Chavan, a functionary of the Shiv Sena (UBT) group, in this case. It had too addressed the more youthful brother of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) group pioneer Sanjay Raut’s more youthful brother Sandeep Raut in this case. The cash washing case stems from an FIR of the Mumbai Police’s Financial Offenses Wing (EOW). According to the police, affirmed abnormalities took place while contracts were given by the Brihanmumbai Civil Enterprise (BMC) for giving ’khichdi’ to transients amid COVID-19. The EOW addressed Amol Kirtikar in this case.
