Landy Párraga Goyburo, the beauty queen of Ecuador, may have lost her life because of a social media post that revealed her whereabouts. She was shot and killed while eating at a restaurant in Quevedo. As per the police probe, the shooting happened soon after Parraga uploaded a picture of her dinner—a platter of octopus ceviche—on Instagram, providing assassins with her whereabouts, according to a Telegraph story. She was shot many times by two armed guys who entered the restaurant shortly after that post went viral, instantly killing her.
According to the article, Parraga was gunned down shortly after her name surfaced in a corruption investigation that connected judges to organized crime. There are several rumors that the widow of a drug boss, with whom Parrage is thought to have had an affair, ordered the murder. Párraga had just shared with her 173,000 Instagram followers a picture of the ceviche she was going to have for lunch when two armed men stormed into the Quevedo restaurant and opened fire on her multiple times.
