E-Rickshaw Fare Dispute: Women Assault Driver in Viral Video Over Fare Arguments
Two women were seen on camera physically attacking an e-rickshaw driver in Lucknow during a startling altercation over a fare. Punches and slaps were exchanged during the altercation in the Aminabad neighborhood, as shown in the social media footage that went viral.
In the video, one of the women is seen grabbing the e-rickshaw driver by the neck as the other tries to hit him. The conflict intensifies despite the driver’s attempts to dissuade them, with one woman setting down her purse to improve control and the other taking off a shoe to use as a weapon. As the women continue their violent conduct, the driver, who is upset, confronts a spectator who is recording the situation and tells him, “Haan haan bana lo video.”
