We were inside our tent around 7 o’clock when we heard shady sounds. As soon as we emerged from the tent, we overheard two individuals conversing on the phone. Two motorcycles carrying a few people pulled up at about 7:30 p.m. They mumbled “Hello friends” as they came to a stop at the tent. Using our head torches, we emerged from our tent to see five individuals running towards us and two more approaching. They were conversing in their native tongue while interjecting a few English terms. A Swiss knife, a wristwatch, a platinum band with diamonds, a silver ring, black earphones, a black pocketbook, a credit card, around ₹11,000, $300 US dollars, a steel spoon, and a fork were among the other items the woman said the accused took.
