Dibrugarh Express Derails in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh: 4 Dead, 20 Injured
The Dibrugarh Express (15904) near Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, derailed on Thursday, resulting in at least two fatalities and around twenty-five injuries. The train was headed toward Chandigarh. The Jhilahi railway station in Uttar Pradesh and Gosai Dihwa were the locations of the accident. Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, gave district authorities instructions to make sure accident victims received the right care.
The chief minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the district administration authorities to speed the relief effort after receiving notification of the train disaster in Gonda district, according to a post on X by the chief minister’s office. The officials have been directed by the Chief Minister to promptly transport the injured individuals to the hospital and administer appropriate medical care. He also read a message from the chief minister’s office wishing for the injured people to recover quickly.
As soon as railway officials learned of the accident, they arrived at the scene. Officials stated that the rescue effort started. From Gonda and Gorakhpur, another railway rescue team is also being sent. “The rescue operation has begun and the medical van of the Railways has arrived,” North Eastern Railway CPRO Pankaj Singh told ANI. Chief Minister of Assam Himanata Biswa Sarma is monitoring the situation. “HCM Dr. Himanta Biswa has been briefed about the derailment of the Dibrugarh – Chandigarh express in Uttar Pradesh,” the statement stated on X. The Assamese government is in contact with the relevant authorities, and HCM is monitoring the situation.
