Atishi request Parents’ Calm Amidst ‘Bomb Threats’ at Delhi-NCR Schools
The national capital’s and neighboring Noida’s schools got bomb threats via email on Wednesday morning. However, Delhi’s education minister, Atishi, advised parents not to fear. Furthermore, Atishi noted that nothing has yet been discovered in any of the schools. “This morning, bomb threats were sent to a few schools. Delhi Police are searching certain locations while the students have been evacuated. In any of the schools, nothing has been discovered thus far. We communicate with the schools and the police on a daily basis. I would ask residents and parents not to get alarmed. Atishi said on X (formerly Twitter) that “school authorities will be in touch with parents wherever needed.” The educational institutions that have received bomb threats include Mother Mary’s School in Mayur Vihar, Delhi Public School at Dwarka, Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Delhi Public School at Vasant Kunj, Amity School in Saket, and Delhi Public School (DPS) in Noida Sector 30, according to authorities.
Following the police’s notification of the emails, all schools have been evacuated, according to Delhi Police authorities. A police officer stated that a search operation is in progress and that personnel from the fire department, bomb disposal squad, and explosives detection team had been dispatched to the Delhi schools. According to the preliminary inquiry, emails have been sent to many Delhi schools since yesterday. Threat emails were sent out according to the same template. The dateline is not stated. The email mentions BCC, so it’s obvious that one email was sent to several addresses, according to the Delhi Police. Bomb threats have been made to many schools. We are looking at every danger, and further research is being done on the subject,” it stated.
As a precaution, all Delhi-NCR schools that received threat emails were shuttered, the students were returned, and the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) was adhered to, according to the authorities. One of the schools mailed parents an update on the danger and the safety precautions the school had taken in case of an emergency. “An email about a bomb threat to the school was received this morning. As a result, the pupils are being distributed right now as a safety precaution. We respectfully ask that you pick up your children from their designated bus stops. We respectfully ask parents to come pick up their children right away. The parents received a communication that stated, “The Bus Route Incharges will periodically keep you informed about the movement of the buses.”

According to the Noida Police, police have been called in, and lessons have been paused at DPS in Noida. According to an officer, identical threat letters have been sent to other institutions, and it is thought that a single individual is responsible for them all. Security services, such as the Delhi Police Special Cell, are searching for the email’s origin.
