Supreme Court Grants Bail to AAP Leader Sanjay Singh in Delhi Excise Policy Case, ED Accepts Decision

Supreme Court Grants Bail to AAP Leader Sanjay Singh in Delhi Excise Policy Case, ED Accepts Decision

In the Delhi excise policy case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) decided not to contest the bail request; therefore, on Tuesday, the Supreme Court granted bail to AAP leader Sanjay Singh. The AAP leader Sanjay Singh’s bail in this case is acceptable to the Enforcement Directorate, according to them.

A three-judge panel made up of Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Dipankar Datta, and PB Varale ruled that the concession the investigation agency made would not be considered precedent.

With this, Sanjay Singh has become the first senior AAP leader to be allowed regular bail in the money laundering case connected to the now-scrapped liquor policy. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his former deputy Manish Sisodia, and previous health minister Satyendar Jain are under judicial custody in the case.
