Deadpool & Wolverine Smashes Box Office Milestones, Joins the Billion-Dollar Club

Disney’s Deadpool & Wolverine works its way through another wonderful weekend at the box office, not just this but also hitting many of the big-ticket benchmarks in just its third weekend in release. The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer has been a massive success story for Marvel Studios, especially following several flopped releases of their own.

It has grossed $495 million domestically and 535 million internationally for a worldwide total of $1.03 billion.
An impressive domestic haul of $495 million and another $535 million overseas have ranged in more than Dollars $1.03 billion at the box office worldwide.
In the list of marvel films crossing the magic figure of more than $1 billion worldwide, “Deadpool & Wolverine” stirs their position at the top position.
First MCU film since Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) to cross this mark.

This also means the MCU crossover is now on a path to race past that other R-rated DC hit, ultimately perhaps becoming the highest-grossing R-rated domestic release in global box office history. Indeed, states Collider, Deadpool & Wolverine has already bested The Passion of the Christ’s domestic take.

It has also outranked a number of other popular Marvel blockbusters, including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There are now just 10 other MCU movies that hit $1 billion before it did.

Worldwide Total Revenue, overall Deadpool & Wolverine is at the back compared to movies like Captain Marvel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man 3, Black Panther, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Avengers, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. While at home, the film has already surpassed Captain Marvel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Avengers: Age of Ultron, ranking as the sixth top-grossing film in the MCU, according to domestic box office history. Barring some strongly negative examples of word of mouth, it will also soon jump into the Top Five by edging out the original The Avengers.

Directed by Shawn Levy, who had made films earlier with both Reynolds and Jackman, Deadpool & Wolverine was budgeted at around $ 200 million, or about 1,640 crores. This is basically the entry of the duo into the MCU, which made it possible after Disney took over 20th Century Fox, but without a doubt, the Disney universe is one of the most critical subplots of the movie. The movie released on July 26 and is playing in theaters worldwide.
