CSK Welcomes MS Dhoni with ‘Leo’ Themed Elevation Video for IPL 2024 in Chennai

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, arrived in the city on Tuesday night and proceeded straight to the team hotel, marking his official arrival to the camp. Players from CSK are traveling from all over the world to Chennai to complete their cricket responsibilities, both domestic and international. Last Saturday marked the start of CSK’s pre-season training at Chepauk for the first group of Indian players to arrive in the city early.

Over the past three days, Dhoni and his spouse Sakshi Singh Rawat traveled to Jamnagar, Gujarat, to see Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding rituals.

CSK Unveils Leo-Themed Surprise for MS Dhoni

The franchise’s mascot, also known as “Leo,” was seen shattering a picture frame to reveal Dhoni’s picture behind it in the iconic movie “Leo.” CSK presented their version of this moment as Dhoni, who is “revered” as “Thala,” entered the camp ahead of IPL 2024. When Dhoni arrived in Chennai ahead of the new season, he was greeted warmly.

Months before to the IPL 2024, Dhoni had begun getting ready for the tournament when he was regularly spotted hitting the nets at the JSCA cricket stadium in Ranchi.

The 42-year-old retired superstar may be participating in his last IPL season this year, but his future is still up in the air. In the league, Dhoni has never formally established a schedule for himself.

He is the second captain to win the IPL title a record five times, behind Rohit Sharma of the Mumbai Indians, and he will be attempting to defend it this year.
