The legendary scene starring him and captain MS Dhoni from the team’s championship-winning performance the past season was reviewed by Chennai Super Rulers all-arounder Ravindra Jadeja on Monday. CSK defeated the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 last week in Ahmedabad to capture the title for a record-tying fifth time. The winning streak for CSK was tainted by rumors of a potential disagreement between Jadeja and Dhoni. The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin on March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, with CSK taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore.

However, several injuries have damaged Chennai. Both fast bowler Matheesa Pathirana and opener Devon Conway will miss the first half of the season due to injuries. After getting injured during the home T20I series against Australia earlier this year, the New Zealand batsman had to have surgery on his thumb. Meanwhile, Pathirana, who turned out to be a revelation for CSK the previous year and became Dhoni’s go-to bowler in the final overs, sustained a hamstring injury during the recent white-ball series against Bangladesh. To make matters worse, during Monday’s third one-day international against Sri Lanka in Chattogram, Bangladeshi fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, who was supposed to bat for Pathirana in case of injury, had to be carried off the field due to severe cramping.
