Congress Unveils 5 Major Poll Promises for Women Voters: ₹1 Lakh Cash Transfer, 50% Job Quota
The Congress party unveiled its ambitious ‘Nari Nyay Guarantee’ on Wednesday, promising to provide ₹1 lakh in annual financial help to women from low-income families in an attempt to win over more women voters. Congress has highlighted five major announcements under the “Nari Nyay Guarantee”: “Mahalaxmi,” “Aadhi Aabadi Poora Haq,” “Shakti Ka Sammaan,” “Adhikar Maitri,” and “Savitribai Phule Hostel.” Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said in a video message, “Aadhi Aabadi Poora Haq—under this, women will have rights over half of the new recruitments at the central government level.”
“The central government’s contribution to the monthly income of Anganwadi, ASHA, and midday meal workers will be doubled under the third scheme, Shakti Ka Sammaan,” he continued. Congress intends to designate a paralegal specialist in each panchayat, entrusted with training and supporting women in effectively navigating legal frameworks, to empower women with knowledge and awareness of their rights, according to Kharge. To meet the need for safe and reasonably priced housing for working women, the fifth and final project will build at least one working women’s hostel at each district headquarters.
“We have already declared youth justice, farmer justice, and participatory justice. Our assurances are more than just platitudes, as the president of Congress declared. “Our statements are unchangeable.” “From 1926 till the present, when our opponents were still in their infancy, we have been issuing manifestos and keeping our word. “All of you keep giving your blessings to the Congress party and strengthen our hands in this fight to save democracy and the Constitution,” Kharge stated.
