Brave Nurse Uses Blade to Foil Gang-Rape Attempt at Bihar Hospital, Severely Injures Doctor

In a shocking incident in Bihar, a private hospital nurse narrowly escaped an attempt by a gang of criminals to rape her, according to police reports that emerged on Thursday.

This incident occurred in the Samastipur district at the RBS Health Care Centre in Gangapur, where the nurse had been working late in the evening.

The accused include Dr. Sanjay Kumar, administrator of the said hospital, and his two accomplices, Awadhesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar Gupta.

The horrific attempt was foiled when she, in a courageous act, managed to cause a serious injury to Dr. Kumar’s genitals with a blade. She succeeded in fleeing the scene to seek help from the authorities by hiding in a nearby field.

A team of police, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Pandey, quickly responded to the distress call. They arrested the three suspects upon reaching the spot and rescued the nurse.

DSP Pandey lauded the courage and presence of mind shown by the nurse, pointing out that the attackers had sought to cover their tracks by disconnecting CCTV cameras and locking up the hospital from inside.

Key evidence recovered by the investigation from the scene of the crime included the blade used by the nurse, bloodstained clothes, a liquor bottle, and three mobile phones.
