Boney Kapoor Defends Allu Arjun in Pushpa 2 Stampede Case: “He Was Unnecessarily Dragged Due to the Crowd”

Boney Kapoor has spoken out in favor of Telugu actor Allu Arjun, who was recently embroiled in a legal struggle when a fan passed away during the premiere of his much anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Boney maintains that the tragedy was unjustly attributed to Arjun and blames the terrible death on the overwhelming number of attendees.

Boney talked about his experience with South Indian audiences’ love of big personalities at a Galatta Plus discussion for filmmakers. He recounted how amazed he was to see the massive throng outside the cinema for Ajith’s 1 a.m. movie premiere, which drew over 20,000 people. “The same frenzy surrounds stars like Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, and Mahesh Babu,” Boney stated.

Boney linked it to the Pushpa 2 incident, saying, “The issue was caused by higher ticket pricing and more showings in the first few days. Allu Arjun was mistakenly held responsible for the fatality, which happened as a result of the overcrowded area.

The Pushpa 2 Stampede Incident

On the eve of Pushpa 2’s release, a special screening was arranged for fans in Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre on December 4. When Arjun arrived at the cinema with co-star Rashmika Mandanna and his wife Sneha Reddy, a sizable throng gathered. The authorities believe that the star’s presence caused a stampede-like scenario, which sadly resulted in the death of a 35-year-old lady.

According to the state administration, Arjun showed up to the theater without authorization and would not leave when requested to do so. Arjun, however, has refuted these claims, claiming that he was not aware of the situation that was unfolding. The Telangana High Court granted the actor temporary bail the day after he was detained on culpable murder allegations. aThe case investigation is still under progress.
