Bobby Deol Discusses Bollywood Brainwashing and Disappointments: ‘I Wanted to Get Out of It’
Actor Bobby Deol has discussed the “dark side” of the Hindi film industry and how people “brainwash you somewhere.” In an interview with Times Now News, Bobby also discussed experiencing disappointment from producers, directors, and writers.
Bobby shares how Bollywood treats people
“You get lost sometimes, and because of how the industry reacts to you, you start choosing the easier and safer path to move forward,” Bobby stated. You don’t want to step outside of your comfort zone and take on difficulties since, somewhere, you’ve been brainwashed by everyone. But that’s the reality; performers experience that tragic circumstance. Fortunately, I was able to see it and I wanted to go. Many performers attempt that as well, but they are still unable to pull it off. However, I have.”
Bobby talks about Bollywood writers, directors, and producers
“Making decisions may be really challenging; often, you build up expectations only to have them dashed by the screenplay, director, or producer. Not that they want to make a movie just for the sake of it. as a source of artistic fulfillment. Their only motivation is to increase table revenues and other financial gains. Thus, everything that used to occur back then is probably changing now, and he continued, “I think it was about time for people to start believing and, you know, things change.”
