BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Shatters Records with Solo Comeback Album ‘AMORTAGE’
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo returned to the music scene with a successful solo mini-album, AMORTAGE, on February 14, 2025. The album comprises four tracks:
- “Earthquake”
- “Your Love”
- “Tears”
- “Hugs & Kisses”
The lead track, “Earthquake,” demonstrates a dynamic change from Jisoo’s previous solo work, “Flower. While “Flower” exuded a soft, romantic elegance, “Earthquake” delivers a more powerful and intense energy. The song combines a funky rhythm and strong singers’ voice, hitting a catchy chorus listened around the world.
The following music video to the song gives further detail to the storyline in the song, and it depicts Jisoo as a bored office worker whose totally boring day is brought crashing to a halt by one of her sneaks from her boyfriend. This episode takes the form of a surreal series (including a polygraph, a car crash), and ultimately revealed to be the work of a daydream. With their innovative concept and spectacular imagery, they have enticed viewers worldwide.
