BJP Unveils J&K Assembly Election Manifesto, Amit Shah Criticizes NC’s Agenda
The BJP on Friday released its manifesto for the forthcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, which was led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Among others, the unveiling also saw the participation of the Jammu & Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina.
Amit Shah underlined that the commitment of BJP to Jammu and Kashmir has been long-standing since Independence: “Since Independence, the issue of Jammu and Kashmir has been crucial for our party.
We’ve always worked to ensure this region remains part of India.” He underlined the history of futile struggles and sacrifices by the then leadership, in which Pandit Prem Nath Dogra and Syama Prasad Mookerjee became a part, and averred that the mission was continued by the BJP.
Shah spoke about the issues related to terrorism and separatism, saying that from various quarters till 2014, Jammu and Kashmir was being destabilised. He blamed appeasement politics by previous governments and praised 2014 to 2024 as progressive.
Home Minister launched an all-gun-blazing attack against the National Conference’s manifesto and ally Congress, saying Article 370 is a thing of the past and will not be brought back. “Article 370 was responsible for arming the youth with weapons and stones,” Shah said.
