Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s Daughter Comes Out as Trans, Introduces New Name at Grandfather’s Memorial Service

The 15-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who went by Seraphina Rose before, has suddenly come out as transgender. According to a Daily Mail article, they presented themselves as Fin at Jennifer’s father, William John Garner’s, burial service.

Seraphina becomes Fin

Seraphina made an appearance during her grandfather’s funeral in a West Virginian church. Presenting themselves at the memorial, they wore a black tuxedo and buzz cut, saying, “Hello, my name is Fin Affleck.”

This is Seraphina’s first public introduction under her new name; however, she was photographed earlier this year sporting a new hairdo. Violet Anne Affleck, 19, Seraphina, and 12-year-old Samuel Garner Affleck are the three children that Jennifer and Ben have together. Despite their 2015 divorce, Ben and Jennifer still share parental responsibilities for their children. In 2022, Ben tied the knot with singer-actress Jennifer Lopez.

Jennifer Garner’s note for her father

On April 2, Jennifer’s father, William John Garner, 85, departed from this life. Twitter users were informed by Jennifer that her father had passed away. The reason for death was not stated. Over the Easter holiday, Union Carbide employee William John Garner, a chemical engineer, passed away.

“On Saturday afternoon, my dad departed in peace. As he was leaving, we were singing Amazing Grace with him (a good question is, did we scare him away or did we carry him across?). I understand that mourning is natural and can hit at any time, even though the death of an 85-year-old man who led a long and healthy life is not terrible. Jennifer posted an old photo of a father and kid with the message, “Today is for gratitude.”

The 51-year-old star expressed gratitude for her father’s quiet strength and caring manner toward her family. For the way he created the persona of the all-in, eternally patient girl dad and for the way he taunted with a wicked smile. We are appreciative of his leadership, work ethic, and faith,” she continued.
