Atishi Hospitalised After Health Decline During Hunger Strike; AAP Reports Blood Sugar Dropped to 36

Atishi, the Minister of Water Resources in Delhi, has been on an indefinite hunger strike. On Monday, her condition worsened on the fourth day of her fast, and she was admitted to the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital. After receiving an update on Atishi’s condition, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj said that her blood sugar level had dropped to 36 and that it was advised that she be closely watched in the hospital.

By the time the party’s medical checks were completed on the fourth day of the hunger strike, Atishi’s blood sugar level had fallen by 28 units from the first. Doctors at LNJP Hospital deemed Atishi’s sudden weight loss and blood pressure reduction “dangerous,” according to a statement released by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

“Minister of Water Atishi’s weight is likewise suddenly dropping. Her weight had dropped from 65.8 kg on June 21st to 63.6 kg on the fourth day of her hunger strike. In other words, she lost 2.2 kg in just 4 days, according to the statement. Doctors have warned that Atishi’s blood pressure, weight, and blood sugar levels have dropped too quickly. This is according to the AAP statement.

In addition, Minister Atishi’s water-ketone content in urine is rising. The party claimed that her health will be at risk due to the significant rise in ketone levels in her body. Minister Atihsir was advised by the doctors to take medication orally, but she declined, according to reports.

DELHI WATER CRISIS: ATISHI’S HUNGER STRIKE

In an effort to increase pressure on Haryana for providing more water, Atishi launched her indefinite hunger strike on Friday in Bhogal, south Delhi. After that, the minister stated that 28 lakh people in Delhi were impacted since Haryana has been releasing 100 million gallons less of water per day to Delhi during the previous two weeks compared to its 613 MGD share.

Tuesday marked the fifth day of her fast, and because of her low blood sugar, she was admitted to the hospital.
